Tried a fine mist spray bottle instead of a regular one for my highlights and it changed everything
I was struggling with keeping my foils from bleeding on a balayage client last Tuesday. My regular spray bottle was soaking the sections too much. Grabbed a cheap fine mist bottle from the drug store for $4 and it was way better. Even coverage without dripping. Has anyone else switched spray bottles and noticed a big difference?

Fine mist is seriously the way to go once you try it. I grabbed one after my regular bottle kept soaking through my foils and creating those weird hard lines. The fine mist just sits on the hair instead of dripping down and ruining the pattern. It actually made my sectioning way cleaner too since I wasn't fighting with excess water everywhere. Never going back to a regular sprayer after that.

Three years ago I bought a fancy continuous mist sprayer from a beauty supply for like $30 and I honestly hate it. @parkermorgan I hear what you're saying but that fine mist just evaporates too fast for me before I can even get my foils folded. I need a little more wetness to keep the lightener from drying out while I'm working through a full head. The cheap fine mist bottle I tried left my sections patchy because the water was gone before I even picked up my brush. Maybe my salon is just too dry or I work too slow, but I need that heavier spray to stay damp longer. My clients always complain about the foils feeling cold and wet anyway so the extra dripping never bothered me much.
