Unpopular opinion: 150 color services in one chair finally taught me to stop overbooking
I counted my bookings last month and hit 150 color services in my chair at the salon here in Boise since January. For 3 years I was stacking clients every 45 minutes thinking more bodies meant more money. Then a balayage ran long on a Friday and I had 4 people waiting, and my 2 o'clock walked out and never came back. Now I book 2 hours for a full highlight, my tips went up, and I stopped dreading my own schedule. Any other colorists out there block out more time per client even if it means fewer slots?
