Watched a stylist at a Dallas expo use a razor comb on dry hair and it changed how I do layers

I went to the Texas Beauty Show back in March and saw this older stylist named Rosa doing a demo. She took a razor comb and cut layers into bone-dry hair, no water or clips. I always cut wet hair and then dry cut for touch-ups, but watching her work made me try it on a few clients. First try was a mess, but after 3 attempts I got the hang of it. The layers sit way softer now and I save maybe 10 minutes per haircut. Has anyone else switched to dry cutting with a razor and dealt with the learning curve?

Start with damp hair first, you'll avoid the choppy mess I made my first time.
