A retired operator in Tulsa got me thinking about seat time after he said one thing
Ran into a retired operator named Dale at a diner outside Tulsa last month and he asked how many hours I had in the seat, not how many years on the books. I said 14,000 and he laughed, told me he hit 40,000 before he trusted himself on a blind pick over a live highway. Made me realize the old guys counted time by what they actually ran, not by the calendar. Anybody else track their real seat hours, or is that just a Dale thing?
