Am I the only one who fought a swing brake on a 90 ton for 3 days straight?
Was working a job over in Gary, Indiana on a 90 ton and the swing brake kept dragging so bad the machine would creep a full foot after I let off the stick. Turned out it was just a bad seal letting air into the line, but I pulled the whole valve body apart twice and drove 40 minutes to the dealer for parts that were never the problem. My old foreman would have had that thing figured out in an afternoon just by listening to it. Anybody got a trick for chasing air leaks in the swing circuit without tearing everything down?
