Am I the only one who switched from a standard hook to a tagline setup on tower cranes?

I been running tower cranes for about 7 years now and always just used the standard hook with a tagline when needed. But last month on a tight job downtown Austin, the spotter kept yelling because loads were spinning too much. I finally rigged up a tagline setup with two lines from the hook block down to the load. Night and day difference. No more spinning loads and I could place steel way faster. Has anyone else found taglines beat a plain hook for precision work?

One thing nobody mentioned: taglines kill your rotation speed for long picks.

Did you read that article in Crane Network a couple months back about tagline rigs on highrise jobs? They were saying it cuts rotation by like 80 percent compared to a plain hook setup.
