Hot take: I just wasted $800 on a 'smart' load indicator that was totally wrong on a job in Boise.

Ouch, that is brutal. I've been burned by fancy gear that promised to be smarter than the old ways too. It's the worst feeling when you pay a premium for something that just doesn't work right. Really sorry that happened on your job, man. That kind of mistake costs more than just the money for the tool.

Ugh tell me about it lol. Feels like they slap the word "smart" on anything now and charge double. My favorite is when the fancy thing breaks and you have to go back to the old tool that just works. Honestly makes me want to throw the new gear out a window sometimes.
