Load charts got me for 8 months until a foreman called me out

I was doing mobile crane work around Tulsa and kept guessing on boom angles instead of actually reading the chart. Last Tuesday a foreman watched me set up a 12 ton pick and just said "you know that's not in your radius right?". He was right, I was running at 42 feet when the chart clearly said 30. Has anyone else had a close call from eyeballing it instead of doing the math?

Did that foreman actually show you how to read the chart, or did he just leave you hanging after the callout?
