My last job out of state made me think about how sites have changed

Driving to that bridge project in Texas, I remembered when we had to map routes with paper books. Now everyone just uses GPS on their phones. The cranes themselves are so much faster to set up with the new hydraulic outriggers. It saves time, but I kind of liked the slower pace and talking with the crew more.

Nah, the good crews still find time to talk. Honestly, the new tech just gets the boring setup done faster so we can actually focus on the real work together. You can still have those chats, just without all the wasted time.

Guess we traded stories for speed.
