My old foreman told me to always double-check the load chart in the cab, not the one on the wall.
I was setting a 12-ton AC unit on a roof in Charlotte last month and the wall chart was for an older model of our crane. If I hadn't gone back to the cab to look, I would have been way over on my radius. Has anyone else caught a big mistake because of something like that?

Man, that's a perfect example. It feels like half the problems out there come from outdated or wrong info being the easiest thing to find. Good on you for actually checking the source.

Ever try to fix something with a ten year old forum post? The top result is always some guy's weird fix that bricks your whole setup. Then you dig and find the real answer on page three. It's like the internet is a library where someone glued the wrong covers on all the books.
