Spent $800 on a fancy anti-two-block system and it's been a headache
It's way too sensitive and keeps shutting down on me during routine lifts, costing more time than it saves. Anyone else find these 'safety' gadgets more trouble than they're worth?

Yeah, the "costing more time than it saves" part is exactly it. I've seen guys just start ignoring the alarms after a while, which totally defeats the point. You end up with a false sense of security because you're so used to it crying wolf over a bit of sway.

That "false sense of security" thing seems overblown. If you're ignoring real alarms, that's a training or discipline problem, not a tech problem. The gear isn't the issue.

Man I had a buddy who used one of those systems on his skidder. He told me he was logging on a hillside and the thing just kept beeping over every little bump, so he started tuning it out. Then one day it tipped and he didn't realize until it was too late, totaled the whole rig. @dylanh97 nailed it with the "crying wolf" thing, happens way more than people want to admit.
