Update: My old rigger taught me a hand signal I'd been misreading for years

I was on a site in Dallas and the new guy gave me the 'dog everything' sign, but I'd always taken it as just 'lower slowly'. The foreman had to yell over the radio to stop me. Has anyone else had a signal mix-up that almost caused a problem?

Yeah, that's a bad one to get wrong. Always confirm the signal book with the crew at the start of a new job, even if you think you know it. A five minute huddle can save a whole lot of yelling over the radio.

I dunno @mason_flores21, it's not that deep if everyone pays attention.

Made a quick laminated cheat sheet for the hand signals we use most. Keep it clipped to my belt, saves my voice when the machines are loud.
