Used to spend 20 minutes leveling outriggers on a slope until a older operator taught me the ladder trick

Now I just set one outrigger heavy and use the boom to lift the other side into position, and I haven't had a callout for a tipped rig in 6 months, has anyone else picked this up from a seasoned guy on site?

Man I used to roll my eyes at that ladder trick, thought it was just old school overkill, but after watching a guy set a 50 tonner on a hillside in about 90 seconds I totally changed my mind.

Wait you saw that too? I used to think the same way, figured it was just some old timer flexing. Then I watched this guy level up a 50 tonner on a crazy slope and it was over in like a minute and a half. Now I keep a short ladder wedged in my toolbox just in case, never know when youll need to get a machine level without dragging out all the big gear. Its one of those tricks that looks dumb until you see it work perfectly.
