Wind alarm went off 4 times on Tuesday, thought I was losing it

We were setting steel on a 12 story job in downtown Denver and the anemometer kept hitting 25 mph gusts right as we got the load over the edge. Fought it all morning, then the afternoon crew swapped sites with us and found the sensor was mounted too close to a vent fan that was blowing right on it. Customer said the same thing happened to them last week on a different tower. Anyone else ever chase a false wind alarm for half a day and want to chuck the whole system off the roof?
