That's rough. Sounds like someone who forgot that variety is the spice of life and writing. Sorry you had to deal with that.

Honestly I used to be one of those people who stuck with the same few authors... thought I knew what I liked. But getting that kind of feedback made me realize I was just being lazy with my reading.
