Hot take: Writing prompts were better when I just used my own life
I used to scroll through prompt lists for an hour, trying to find something that sparked an idea. Now I just grab a random memory from the last week, like the time I saw a guy drop his phone in a puddle at the 7-Eleven on Main Street. Feels more real than those 'write about a haunted lighthouse' prompts, you know? Anyone else just skip the prompts and go straight to daily life now?

I mean, you say "just a random memory" but that 7-Eleven phone drop sounds pretty specific and kind of poetic honestly, not sure that's the same as just daily life.

Saw my friend's car get towed from a Waffle House lot. Wrote three pages about it that day.
