Saw a guy writing on a napkin at the Denver airport and it clicked for me

I was waiting for a flight and noticed a man at the gate scribbling on a paper napkin, totally focused. He was writing down what looked like a conversation between two characters, complete with dialogue tags and everything. What's the most unusual place you've ever seen someone working on a story idea?

Remember seeing a woman on a packed city bus writing what looked like a poem on the back of a receipt. She was holding onto the pole with one hand and scribbling with the other, completely tuned out from all the noise. It made me smile because you just know that idea hit her and she couldn't wait. There's something cool about catching people in those raw, creative moments out in the wild.

That's the real art, catching the spark before it gets lost.

Stuck a sticky note to my toolbox once mid-job because the idea hit while I was balancing a condenser coil. Had to use a dry erase marker but it got the job done. Sometimes you just grab whatever's within arm's reach.
