The old way I used to brainstorm story ideas vs. now
Back in 2016, I would just sit with a notebook and a coffee and wait for something to hit me. Usually came up with maybe 3 or 4 prompts in a whole afternoon. Now I use a free random word generator online and some prompt lists from Reddit. I can bang out 20 ideas in 30 minutes easy. The biggest change was realizing structure helps more than waiting for magic. Anyone else find that using a system beats just staring at a blank page?
