Man, that's a rough one. It's weird how a simple prompt can just hit a nerve and turn a casual hangout into group therapy you didn't sign up for. @janac51's story about the worst date prompt going sideways is spot on, sometimes the safest sounding topic is the one that backfires the hardest.

Oh man, that reminds me of the time my friend tried a "worst date" story prompt at a party. It was supposed to be funny, but one guy just unloaded this super raw, recent breakup story. Total mood killer, everyone just stood there holding their drinks in awkward silence. The host had to pivot to ordering pizza real fast. Sometimes those prompts just open a door you really wish had stayed closed.
