Went from trashing prompt generators to using them every morning

Last week I saw a prompt on here about writing from a villain's grocery list and I rolled my eyes so hard. I've been in this sub for 3 years and always thought generators made lazy, hollow ideas. Then Tuesday night after my shift I was staring at a blank page for an hour and figured why not, punched in 'horror scene set in a laundromat at 2 AM' and got this weird detail about a missing sock that turned into a 2,000 word story. Now I use one to kickstart 10 minute warm-ups before I draft, not for the final piece but just to get the gears moving. Am I the only one who flipped on these tools, or does anyone else use them as a springboard without feeling like a cheat?
