Bought a $400 espresso machine from a big box store and it died after 3 months
Customer service said they dont cover wear and tear on the pump, tried to charge me $150 to diagnose it. Has anyone else had luck fighting that kind of fine print or am I just stuck eating the cost?

wear and tear" at 3 months is straight garbage

Used to be one of those guys who thought "it's just a little wear, who cares?" but man, after seeing what a buddy went through with his car, I completely flipped. He bought a used sedan with 40k miles, looked clean, but the suspension was shot and the transmission was slipping within a month. The guy gave him the same line about wear and tear being normal. Three months in and it was a total lemon, cost him more to fix than he paid for it. It's wild how people hide behind that phrase to dump junk on you. If something's already breaking down that fast, that's not wear, that's a pattern of neglect or abuse.
