Hit 200 refunds processed in one shift today and I'm honestly shook
I work the customer service desk at a big box store in Phoenix, and today I processed exactly 200 refunds in a 9 hour shift. That's like one every couple minutes with no breaks, and I still had a line of 15 people at closing time. Has anyone else ever tracked their numbers like this and seen something crazy?

oh man, i feel this so hard. i used to work at a membership warehouse store (think big bulk paper towels) and we had a return policy that was basically "bring back anything for any reason" - so i totally get the never-ending line situation. i started tracking my numbers just to prove to my manager i needed a second person at the desk, and i hit 185 returns in an 8 hour shift during holiday season, which is insane when you think about it (but also kind of sad, you know?). what worked for me was keeping my scanner gun and price check right at the counter instead of having to walk away, and i would sort returns by condition while the customer was still digging out their receipt. it's wild that they expect one person to handle that volume though, props to you for surviving that shift because i honestly felt like i was going to lose my mind after hour 4.

Man, 200 refunds in a single shift? That's absolutely wild. Your feet must have been screaming by hour three.
