I used to always complain about slow service at my local diner
Turned out I was the problem. I'd walk in at 7:30 AM right when the breakfast rush hit. After 3 times of waiting 20 minutes, the owner pulled me aside. He showed me the reservation log and said 'you're showing up when we have 12 orders ahead of you.' Started coming at 6:45 AM instead. Now my coffee is on the table in 2 minutes. Has anyone else realized they were picking the worst times?

You ever have one of those moments where you just assume it's someone else's fault? I used to be the same way, honestly. I'd walk into places and complain about slow service, thinking they just didn't care. But this story here, it kind of snapped me out of that. I started paying attention to when I show up places, like the grocery store or the bank, and it's crazy how much of a difference timing makes. Your mileage may vary, but for me, shifting my schedule by just 15 minutes changed everything. So yeah, I used to roll my eyes at advice like this, but now I get it.
