Honestly, it’s a universal nightmare. I was just reading about how these companies bank on you giving up out of pure frustration (it’s their whole business model, apparently). They pass you around to five different people, each one less helpful than the last, until you just accept the random fees. My buddy spent three hours on hold last week only to be told his “promotional rate” never existed. It’s all just a bad script.
