Overheard a manager in Phoenix tell an employee 'the customer is always an inconvenience' and it explained so much.

I was waiting for a refund at a big box store and heard that exact phrase from the back office, which finally made sense of the 45-minute wait and the clerk's complete lack of help.

That phrase explains so much, doesn't it?

Explains so much" feels like a stretch. People throw that phrase around for every little thing now. It's probably not that deep, just someone's random take. We're all reading way too much into basic comments these days.

Totally get what you mean. I see it all the time where someone makes a simple post and the replies act like it's a huge clue to their whole life. It's just a comment, not a secret code. People really do read way too much into every single word posted online now. Makes you wonder why we all feel the need to dig for hidden meaning in everything, right?
