Still hate self-checkout, but a cashier changed my mind about who it's for

My local Target cashier in Phoenix told me she actually prefers self-checkout because she has a bad back and standing behind the register for 8 hours kills her, and that made me realize supporting her means supporting the machines, so has anyone else flipped on a service policy because of the employee's side of it?
