That lady at the hardware store told me epoxy would fix my cracked sink and she was dead wrong

I listened to her advice, spent $45 on a kit, and it peeled off within 2 weeks. Now I gotta replace the whole sink anyway, so that was just wasted money and extra work for nothing. Has anyone else been steered wrong by a store employee who seemed so sure of themselves?
