TIL that a major airline's customer service script actually tells them to hang up on you if you curse

I found this out after I got stuck on hold with Delta for 45 minutes last night trying to rebook a flight that got cancelled. While waiting I was just browsing random stuff on my phone and stumbled across a leaked internal training document from 2022 that someone posted on Reddit. It literally said if the customer uses profanity, advise them once and if they continue, disconnect the call. I had no idea that was an actual rule written down in black and white. Makes sense why my buddy got hung up on twice in one day after his luggage got lost. Has anyone else run into this or gotten the boot for cussing?

Just kept saying "understood" and it worked fine.

Man, is it really that serious though? Like did someone threaten to take away your snack time if you didn't just nod and agree?
