Wasted $80 on a "premium" car detailing kit that was just rebranded stuff from the dollar store

Ordered this detailing kit online from a company that claimed to be professional grade. Three bottles of spray, some microfiber cloths, and a brush. The spray bottles literally had the same nozzles as the ones I buy for $1.25 at the hardware store (I recognized the pattern). The cloths shed lint on my windshield and left streaks. Total loss after trying to use it on my old Honda Civic. Anyone else fallen for those "pro detailer" starter kits?

Ha! I once paid $40 for "professional sponge" that was just scotch-brite with a fancy label.

Guess the kit did what it was supposed to for a fair price, those dollar store parts work fine in my experience. Could be the issue is more about technique than the tools, your mileage may vary on that.
