Had my truck broken into at the job site in Denver last week and my work laptop with all my client quotes was gone.

Now I encrypt every single device with a password that's over 12 characters long, no matter how much of a pain it is to type in every morning.

Truck got broken into at a Home Depot parking lot last summer. They got my gym bag full of dirty socks and a half eaten sandwich. Left the GPS unit sitting right there on the dash though, guess thieves have standards. Now I leave my windows cracked and the doors unlocked, figured they can just open the door instead of breaking glass.

My old laptop got swiped from my car a few years back. I started using a password manager after that, it creates and remembers those long passwords for you. Typing in one master pass is way easier than remembering a dozen complex codes. It saved me a huge headache when my bag was stolen last year, all my stuff was locked tight.

Ugh, that's the worst feeling. So smart to get a password manager after that, total game changer for peace of mind. What one did you end up going with?
