I finally started using a password manager after a guy at the UPS Store on Market Street guessed mine
I was shipping a package at the UPS Store on Market Street last Tuesday and the guy behind the counter was helping me log into my account on their tablet. I typed my password and he just laughed and said "let me guess, your dog's name and the year you were born?" It was not that exactly but it was close enough that my face got hot. He told me he sees the same stuff all day, people using pet names, birthdays, kids' names, and he doesn't even work in security, he just notices. That night I sat down and set up a password manager with a long random key and changed 11 accounts over the weekend. It took me about two hours total and I kept putting it off for years because I thought it would be a hassle. Turns out the hard part was just deciding to do it. Has anyone else had a random person call out their bad password habits and actually made the switch because of it?
