My friend in IT told me my password habits were basically an open door, and I mean, he was right.

I was over at his place last week and logged into something on his computer. He just looked at me and said, 'Dude, you're still using your dog's name and your birth year for everything, aren't you?' I kind of laughed it off, but then he ran a quick check on a site that shows breached passwords. My old main password, the one I used for my old email, was on a list from a data breach three years ago. I had no idea. He showed me how to set up a password manager right then, and now I have a different, long password for every single account. It feels way better, but I'm still getting used to it. Has anyone else made the switch to a password manager and found a good way to remember the one master password?

Yeah, I was the same way. Thought it was all overblown until my bank account got locked. The master password thing is tricky, I just made it a line from a song I'll never forget.

Actually, that song line trick can be risky if the lyrics are easy to find online.

Is it really that big of a deal if someone finds the lyrics?
