Password managers vs browser autofill, am I the only one who thinks the browser route is fine?

I keep seeing people on here act like using Chrome or Edge autofill is the same as leaving your front door unlocked. But honestly, for my personal accounts, it's been fine for like 5 years. Yes, I know the arguments about malware reading your saved passwords or a shoulder surfer grabbing them. But I also have a coworker who uses a password manager and still got phished last month because he typed his master password into a fake login page. So which risk is actually bigger? Is browser autofill really that much worse, or are we just repeating what vendors tell us? I'm genuinely curious what everyone's actual experience has been, not just the theory.

Same here, my browser autofill has never let me down either. People overthink this.
