PSA: Threw $80 at a fake antivirus renewal scam last night

I got an email saying my Norton was expiring so I clicked the link and paid $80 for a 3-year renewal. Turns out it was a phishing site that looked exactly like the real one. Anyone else nearly fall for those fake renewal emails that pop up at the worst time?

Nah I gotta push back a little on that. People spoof URLs all the time now, even the legit looking ones. It's more on the site to have better security than us catching every fake link.
