Switched to a password manager after my email got hacked last month

My email got breached because I reused the same password across like 15 sites. The hacker got into my Amazon account and ordered $200 worth of stuff before I caught it. After that mess, I spent an afternoon setting up Bitwarden and changing every important login. Now I don't even know my own passwords anymore but at least nothing's been compromised since. Has anyone else had a close call that finally pushed you to lock things down?

Yeah Bitwarden is the way to go. Totally get not knowing your passwords anymore, its weirdly freeing. Did you have any trouble getting your family to switch over too?

Isn't the whole point of a password manager to make things simpler for everyone though? I pushed my parents onto it and spent three weekends resetting accounts they locked themselves out of because they couldn't figure out the master password or the autofill. @daniel214 might have a tech-savvy crew, but mine just gave up and now write passwords on sticky notes again. Why trade one headache for another when you can just use the same simple password for everything like we all used to?
