Bought a "1000 Dad Jokes" book at the register in Toledo last Friday, and my 9-year-old teared up when I read the one about the scarecrow winning an award because he was outstanding in his field. Popular opinion says kids love cheesy jokes, but that one bombed so hard I had to do a 10-minute apology routine to get her to finish her pancakes.
