Can we talk about whether you should fix the old fence or just build a new one?

I've got this 20-year-old fence in my backyard in Portland that's leaning real bad after that storm last winter. Half the boards are rotted, but the posts on the south side are still solid. I'm torn between spending 3 weekends patching it up with new wood for about $200 or just ripping it all out and spending $800 on a whole new fence with better materials. What did you all pick when you had this choice, and did it actually work out?
