Doubted the buddy's golf tip for 2 years, finally tried it last Sunday
My friend kept saying to slow my backswing down to almost half speed, which sounded dumb because power comes from speed, right? After three slices into the trees at Eagle Ridge, I gave it a go and hit the straightest drive I've had in a decade. Anyone else get proven wrong by advice that seemed too simple to work?

Slow backswing is literally the oldest tip in the book though. You sure it wasn't just a lucky swing and not the advice actually being good? One round doesn't prove much.
