Had to pick between a beach trip or a family reunion last month
My cousin's wedding in Ohio was the same weekend my buddies planned a long weekend in Destin. I went with the family reunion since my grandma is 82 and she made me promise I'd be there. Ended up having a great time playing cornhole and hearing old stories, even though I missed out on the ocean. Has anyone else had to choose between fun with friends and family obligations?

Yeah, as hard as it is to admit when grandma's right, you gotta respect a batting average that good. In my experience, fighting a family elder over a solid call just makes you look stubborn, not smart.
