Just realized my 6 year old's "guess what" joke taught me more about listening than my last 2 performance reviews
He hit me with the interrupting cow joke at dinner last Tuesday, and when I laughed he kept going for 20 straight minutes, and it hit me that I give my own kid about 10 percent of the attention I give a spreadsheet, so now I shut my laptop at 6 and just let him run the show, but I'm curious if other parents have a real cutoff time or if you just wing it.
