The trick that finally stopped my fall leaves from wrecking the gutters every year

I used to climb up on a ladder every November and scoop out wet, rotting leaves by hand. It took forever and I almost slipped once. Then last year I bought a cheap gutter scoop and a leaf blower attachment for maybe 15 bucks total. Turns out if you blow the dry leaves out before the rain hits them, they don't turn into that nasty sludge. I spent 20 minutes instead of two hours. The problem was I always waited too long to clean them. Now I do it every two weeks in October and it's a total game changer. Has anyone else found a simple tool that saved you that much time on a chore you hate?

Wait till it rains hard enough to wash your gutters clean.

Honestly, that's wishful thinking around here.
