TIL that over 70% of parents admit they don't know their adult kids' phone numbers by heart anymore

Read this in a Pew Research study earlier this week. Made me realize I can't even remember my own brother's number without looking it up. We used to have every number memorized back in the day. Has anyone else noticed this shift with their own family?

Did your mom ever write numbers on the wall by the phone like mine did?

lol right? My grandma had this little pad of paper right next to the rotary phone and that thing was COVERED in scribbled numbers. I remember having to dial my best friend's number from memory every single day but now I'd be lost without my phone contacts. It's kinda wild how we used to just store that info in our brains like it was nothing. My dad still has a few numbers memorized from 30 years ago but ask me for my own work extension and I'd have to pull out my phone first haha.
