Warning: that 'perfect week' I had last March was a trap
I had this one week where everything just clicked. Monday my car passed inspection without any repairs, Tuesday I got a bonus at work for 300 bucks, and Wednesday my kid actually ate broccoli without complaining. But by Friday I realized I'd been ignoring a text from my best friend saying he was struggling hard. That week felt good on the surface but I totally missed what really mattered. Has anyone else had a stretch like that where the good stuff blinded you to something important?

Oh MAN this hits close to home. I had a buddy who was on cloud nine after getting promoted and buying his first house, all in the same month, and @blair_green I get what you're saying but he was so wrapped up in the high that he didn't notice his own brother was going through a nasty divorce until it was way too late. The good stuff can be like a blindfold sometimes, you just don't see the cracks forming.
