I always cut bell peppers in rings until my neighbor in Dayton watched me do it and asked why I was wasting the top
She showed me how to slice down the sides instead, which got me two extra pieces per pepper, so now I do it her way every single time and honestly want to know if anyone still cuts rings on purpose for a reason I'm missing.
