Left my truck running in the driveway for 25 minutes last Tuesday, still can't decide if that was dumb
Last Tuesday I ran back inside for what I thought was one quick thing and ended up on a 25 minute phone call with my sister about her Honda, keys still in the ignition the entire time. The truck sipped maybe a quarter gallon and nothing bad happened, but now I keep going back and forth on whether idling that long is actually hard on an engine or if I'm just being paranoid. Do you shut yours off for short stops or just let it run, and has anyone actually measured the wear difference?
