Lost my keys in a snowbank at 7am and I'm debating whether to dig or just pay the $85
So yesterday morning it was 14 degrees out and I was already running 10 minutes late for work. I had the keys in my hand walking to my car, and then right when I went to grab the door handle they slipped and went into this big pile of snow by the curb. I dug around for like 6 minutes with my bare hands until they went numb and found nothing. I have a spare fob but the dealership quoted me $85 to cut and program a new key, and that's if I bring them the old one. Should I go back out with a flashlight after work and keep digging, or just eat the $85 and move on? I keep going back and forth because it feels dumb to pay that much for something that might still be under there.
