That random chat at the laundromat changed how I fold towels

I was at the 24 hour laundromat on Broadway last Wednesday waiting for my dryer to finish. This older guy next to me was folding his laundry and he showed me this weird way to fold fitted sheets that actually works. I had been struggling with those things for years, always ending up with a wrinkled ball. Now I'm wondering, anyone else have a random stranger teach them something super basic that totally changed their routine?

89 year old Korean War vet at my local bus stop taught me how to tie my shoes so they never come untied. Loop the laces counterclockwise instead of clockwise. @elizabetha92, I get where you're coming from but a random tip that actually works feels different than just another internet hack. That old guy changed a part of my morning routine that annoyed me every single day for 40 years.
