Back-to-back quotes vs one fixed fee, which one cost me less in Dearborn

I run two small storefronts in Dearborn and used to get every repair quoted separately. Last fall I asked one commercial cleaning company for a monthly flat rate instead of paying per visit. First month the flat rate was $180 more than what I paid in single jobs, but by month three I saved about $240 because they stopped nickel and diming me for extra trash runs. My friend swears fixed fees hide lazy work, and I can see that side too. Anyone else tried bundling services and noticed the bill creep up or shrink after 6 months?

Honestly, that math doesn't quite add up if you're comparing the first month straight up. You gotta remember the flat rate usually includes stuff like those extra trash runs and maybe a deep clean once a month, so you're not really comparing apples to apples on month one. By month three you already saw the savings kick in, so I'd say give it a full six months before you judge it. The lazy work thing is real though, you just gotta check the invoice line items and walk the floors yourself every couple weeks to make sure they're actually hitting the corners.
