Chose the local crew over the big franchise for my storefront cleanup, still not sure I did right

My building on Michigan Ave had graffiti and gum all over the sidewalk, so I got quotes. The franchise wanted $850 and promised a 2 day turnaround, but the local guy, Tony's Pressure Washing, said $500 and he'd do it same week. I picked Tony because he showed me photos of other Detroit storefronts he did. He showed up, did the job in 4 hours, and honestly the concrete looks better than it did when I bought the place. But he didn't give me a receipt or invoice, just took the cash and left. I'm wondering if anyone else has had good luck with the smaller outfits, or did I just get lucky this once?
