Commercial cleaning company I hired for 2 years showed me they were ripping me off

Walked into my office building on Gratiot last Tuesday morning. Saw the cleaning crew using dish soap on the marble floors. Asked the supervisor about it. He got real defensive and said dish soap works fine. Two days later I noticed the sealant looked cloudy and worn. Called a different company for a quote and they said the dish soap eats through commercial sealant. That original company knew what they were doing the whole time. Has anyone else caught a service company cutting corners like that?

Man, that's rough. I actually read something about this exact thing a while back, how dish soap is way too alkaline for stone and can strip the sealant in a few applications. @walker.hayden mentioned that painter story and it's the same kind of lazy corner-cutting, they just bank on you not noticing until it's too late. Hopefully you can get some kind of refund or at least a warning out there about them.

Watched a painter thin their paint with water once, ruined the whole drywall.
